How long does this course take?

Most drivers finish in about an hour and a half. There is no timer on this course, so you can take longer if you want to, and there is nothing to lose by stopping in the middle.

Yes. Every lesson saves your place as you read, including how far down the page you were. Close the tab, sign back in on a phone a week later, and you land exactly where you stopped.

What do I get when I finish?

A personalized certificate of completion as a PDF, downloadable straight away, plus a permanent link anyone can open to check that the certificate is genuine.

Will a court or an insurer accept the certificate?

That is their decision, not ours, and we will not tell you otherwise. Ask them before you buy. What we issue is proof that you completed this course.

Is this the Michigan Basic Driver Improvement Course?

No. This is a general defensive driving course. The Michigan BDIC is a separate course governed by MCL 257.320d, and it is listed separately in our catalogue.

What is the pass mark?

80 percent on each module quiz and on the final exam. You can retake a quiz if you do not reach it the first time.

Does it work on a phone?

Yes. The whole course is text you can read on any screen, with no plugin, no app and no video you have to sit through.

Can I get a refund?

The refund policy is on the terms page, and it is the policy that governs. If something has gone wrong with your enrolment, write to us before you dispute a charge and we will look at it.

Do I need to finish it in one sitting?

No. There is no deadline of ours on this course. If a court or an employer has given you a deadline, that deadline is theirs and you should work back from it.
