1. What the courses are
Each course is online instruction in driver safety, delivered as readings, module quizzes and a final exam. When you pass a course we issue a certificate of completion in your name. That is the whole of what we provide.
2. What the courses are not
We make no claim of Michigan Secretary of State approval for any course on this site, and none should be read into anything we publish, unless this page says otherwise for a named course. Each course page states that course’s current status; if a status changes, the course page and this page change with it.
We do not promise that any court, prosecutor, employer or insurance company will accept a certificate of completion, reduce a charge, dismiss a ticket, remove points or lower a premium. Those decisions belong to them. Ask them what they require before you buy. Nothing here is legal advice.
3. Your account
- One person per account. Accounts may not be shared, sold or transferred.
- The name printed on your certificate of completion is the name on your account, so enter your real legal name. Ask us before you finish a course if you need it corrected.
- You are responsible for keeping your password to yourself and for what happens under your login.
- Someone else may not take a course, a quiz or an exam for you. If we find that happened we may revoke the enrolment and any certificate of completion it produced, without a refund.
4. Payment and refunds
Courses are a one-time purchase, in US dollars, at the price shown on the course page at the time you buy. Payment is handled by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
Refunds
Refunds are not automatic. If something has gone wrong, write to us from the address on your account before you start the final exam and we will look at what happened on its own facts. Once the final exam has been started the course has been delivered, and at that point a purchase is final.
Ask by writing to info@waynecountytrafficschool.com from the address on your account, telling us which course it is and what went wrong. A person reads it and replies by email. Nothing is decided by a form: each request is looked at on what actually happened, and we may decline one. If we do refund you, that refund ends your access to the course and revokes any certificate of completion issued for it.
If you bought several courses together as a bundle, a refund of that purchase ends your access to every course in the bundle and revokes every certificate of completion it produced. We do not refund part of a bundle.
If you dispute the charge with your card issuer instead of asking us, we treat that chargeback exactly as a full refund: access ends and any certificate of completion is revoked, whichever way the dispute is decided. Please write to us first: we can usually settle it faster than your bank can.
5. Using the material
The course material is ours or licensed to us, and it is for your own study. Do not copy, republish, resell or feed it to others. Do not attempt to disrupt the site, work around access controls, or scrape it.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep the site up but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may correct or improve course material at any time; corrections do not reset progress you have already made. We may change these terms, and the date at the top of this page tells you when we last did. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept it. If a change would affect a course you have already bought, the terms in force when you bought it govern that purchase.
7. Limits on our liability
The courses are provided as they are. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected with a course is limited to what you paid for that course, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including any outcome in a court proceeding or with an insurer. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
8. Ending access
You may stop using the site at any time and ask us to close your account. See privacy for exactly what happens to your records. We may suspend or revoke access for a breach of these terms.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts sitting in Michigan.
